About Dalbeattie Museum

Our Museum opened in 1993 and is run entirely by volunteers. Everything in the museum has been donated by the public and the volunteers are always on hand to tell the story of where things came from, like the large black cooking range that was rescued from a local house, or the 1920's electric washing machine made of wood. Our Titanic Exhibit honours the memory of our 'Local Hero' William McMaster Murdoch and is enjoyed by visitors from all over the world.
