The Burrell Collection is one of the UK’s most significant museum collections, featuring around 9,000 works of art from across the world. Highlights include Chinese art, medieval stained glass, tapestries, arms and armour and paintings by artists such as Manet, Cézanne and Degas. Set within the peaceful surroundings of Pollok Country Park, the purpose-built museum opened in 1983 and has played a key role in establishing Glasgow as a major cultural destination.
