The Georgian Theatre, Stockton-on-Tees, Green Dragon Yard, Stockton-on-TeesTwenty Six years as a Strangler, Sunderland guitarist, Baz Warne, is coming back to Teesside after a packed rocking show in 2024 Baz is Co-writer and performer on 4 Stranglers albums Norfolk Coast, Suite XI, Giants as well as their most successful album for 40 years, the critically acclaimed top 5 hit Dark Matters His previous bands include, Smalltown Heroes, The Sundevils, Robot Elvis, TheToy Dolls and more recently The Wingmen. An important addition to the Stranglers in 2000 and an integral part of their resurrection, Baz will play a mixture of classic quirky covers in his own inimitable style mixed with classic Stranglers songs from their 40 year career ranging from Goodbye Toulouse to Relentless and Golden Brown to Dutch Moon. Anyone who has seen one of his solo shows before know this is night not to be missed. Baz has recently published his memoirs in a highly acclaimed biography called No Grass Grows On A Busy Street. Support comes from Teesside band The Inklings who have recently released the album – Return of the Puppets and made a spate of very memorable locally influenced videos, including, Dirty Town, Envious Eyes, The Snake, Insomnia and Taxi for Swales Also on the bill is – San Niguel with Nige Bryan espousing some very witty and caustic observations about the world around him in his own inimitable Style.
